BEHIND THE WORK
It all started in the winter of 1986. From a young age, I knew I wanted to work for myself. The idea of being my own boss and creating something unique always appealed to me — I just wasn't sure where to start.
Around 18, I got tired of seeing the same clothes everyone else was wearing. I didn't want to blend in, so I taught myself Photoshop and Illustrator and launched my own clothing brand. No prior experience in design or business — just determination and countless hours practicing. A year later, I started a second line devoted to off-road racing, designing everything from shirts and hoodies to stickers and mockups.
People started noticing the work and asking if I could design logos for them. After countless logos, I branched into website design. My portfolio grew, clients kept coming, and I built this business while working full-time for the U.S. Department of Defense as a government contractor. It hasn't been easy — but it's been incredibly rewarding.
Today I serve businesses across Salt Lake City, Provo, Park City, and throughout Utah. Dad of 6, covered in tattoos, and still just as obsessed with getting the details right as day one. THE JOURNEY
FIRST CLOTHING BRAND
Tired of wearing what everyone else was wearing. Taught myself Photoshop and Illustrator from scratch and launched my own clothing line. Zero experience, all determination.
DIRT ROYALTY
Launched Dirt Royalty — a clothing brand devoted to off-road racing. Designed everything — shirts, hoodies, stickers, mockups. This is where my design skills really started to sharpen.
LOGOS & FREELANCE
People started noticing my work and asking for logo designs. What started as favors turned into a steady stream of freelance clients. The business was born.
WEB DESIGN
Branched from logos into full website design. Built responsive sites when most designers were still thinking desktop-only.
FULL BRAND SYSTEMS
Evolved from individual projects into complete brand identity systems. Logos, guidelines, web, print — the whole package for businesses ready to look serious.
